Armed with an MBA, advanced-level accounting expertise, and an undergraduate degree in mathematics, Donna combines strategic thinking with a passion for numbers to keep budgets on track. She brings extensive experience in financial management, operations, and grant administration, along with a proven ability to streamline processes and enhance financial reporting systems.

Donna’s strategic approach to budgeting, compliance, and funding allocation has supported large-scale research initiatives and driven organizational success. Her talent for transforming complex processes into efficient solutions will play a key role in advancing the Institute’s mission and impact.

Stephanie deWaard

Stephanie holds an MSc in Biology from the University of British Columbia Okanagan, where her research applied population genomics techniques to species conservation and fisheries management of kokanee salmon. Prior to and following her graduate work, Stephanie was involved in the monitoring and protection of biodiversity through DNA barcoding from 2004 to 2024 at the University of Guelph. She first developed expertise in implementing and optimizing high throughput laboratory workflows for the advancement of species identification, then transitioned to managing the molecular laboratory of the Genomics Unit at the Centre for Biodiversity Genomics.

Stephanie brings expertise and experience in team leadership, human resources, project management, research administration, communications, and inventory management to support the procurement needs of the Morwick G360 team
