Merrik holds two Master’s degrees—one in Pharmacy from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and another in Chemistry from the University of Waterloo. With extensive experience in analytical chemistry, Merrik is an expert in gas chromatography (GC), mass spectrometry (MS), and a wide range of advanced analytical techniques. Their work focuses on the analysis of environmental samples and biomonitoring, including pesticides, VOCs, semi-volatiles, and sulfolane, utilizing advanced extraction methods.
