Somayeh has a bachelor’s degree in Geology from Iran. Her first master’s in Applied Geophysics was completed in 2012 from the University of Science Malaysia (USM) where she was working on aeromagnetic data to detect buried underground structure such as faults. After graduation, Somayeh returned to Iran, to work. In 2020, she went to Italy and started her second master’s in Geophysics for Natural Risks and Resources at the University of Padova (UNIPD), where she worked on seismic risk issues is Canada. In the last year of her degree, she won the exchange student program fund for 2 semesters at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada.
