SERDP & ESTCP highlight G³⁶⁰ FLUTe FACT™ tool evaluation project

Beth Parker and the G³⁶⁰ team and collaborators (including FLUTe, Cascade, Tetra Tech, USGS, and DTU) are evaluating a novel, low-cost contaminant screening tool for fractured bedrock. The FLUTe FACT™ tool evaluation will include guidance for interpretation of FACT results in a dual porosity fractured bedrock system, and its potential as a screening tool to improve quality of site characterizations and conceptual site models (CSMs) while reducing overall site characterization costs.

Groundwater Event at UoG - Invite Banner

G360  and University of Guelph Alumni Affairs will be hosting a free public event on Friday June 7th at 11:00am on campus at the University of Guelph in celebration of our groundwater partnerships. This event will feature local dignitaries, including our City of Guelph Federal Member of Parliament, Lloyd Longfield, as well as members of the public, and key hydrogeology and groundwater industry representatives.

This community event is in celebration of two recently awarded NSERC-Industry grants and a commitment to complete the on-campus Bedrock Aquifer Field Facility (BAFF). We expect the event to be approximately one hour, with refreshments provided, and a great chance to network.

On behalf of the G³⁶⁰ Institute for Groundwater Research, we invite you to attend the 24th Annual Women of Distinction™ Fundraising Event in support of Guelph Y programs for girls and women at all stages of life in Guelph and Wellington County.

Women of Distinction™ is a celebration of women who are role models, pioneers, and outstanding achievers – they improve the quality of life in our community. The 2019 Women of Distinction™ fundraising event, hosted by the Guelph YMCA-YWCA, will take place on Thursday May 2, 2019 at the River Run Centre and will celebrate and empower 20 remarkable women in the Guelph community.

 
Hear inspirational stories from the women who are leading our community in the right direction and support Guelph Y programs for girls and women! Join us on May 2nd!

John Cherry to present at the 2019 AWARE Simcoe Annual General Meeting in Elmvale

G360 Principal Investigator, Dr. John Cherry,  will speak at the 2019 AWARE Simcoe Annual General Meeting, co-sponsored by AWARE Simcoe and the Elmvale Foundation on Sunday April 28th in Elmvale. The meeting will focus on the history and importance of groundwater in the Simcoe area and groundwater protection.

This is a free event open to the public and will also feature:
